Quran Education

Quran Instructor

Teach students in one or more areas of Quran education, including Pre-Hifz, Hifz, Quran recitation, and Tajweed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide structured Quran instruction based on the assigned program and student level.
  • Help students improve recitation, memorization, fluency, and application of Tajweed.
  • Monitor student progress and provide regular, constructive feedback.

  • Communicate student progress and concerns with program leadership.
  • Participate in teacher meetings, training sessions, and program activities when required.

Required Qualifications

  • Hafiz of Quran with strong Tajweed and recitation skills.
  • Ability to teach Quran recitation, memorization, and Tajweed effectively.
  • Ability to follow a process for frequent student assessment and progress tracking.
  • Ability to maintain discipline, motivation, and encouragement in the classroom.
  • Strong communication, reliability, and classroom management skills.
  • Reliable transportation and ability to work in person at the assigned location.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Completion of a recognized Islamic studies program or equivalent training.
  • Ijazah or formal certification in Quran recitation, Tajweed, or memorization.
  • Prior experience teaching Pre-Hifz, Hifz, Tajweed, or Quran recitation.
  • Experience working with children, teenagers, or adult learners.
  • Familiarity with student assessment and progress-tracking methods such as MS Excel and MS Teams.

Arabic Studies

Islamic Studies

Advanced Islamic Education Instructor

Teach advanced Islamic studies courses in areas such as Fiqh, Hadith, Tafseer, Aqeedah, Seerah, Arabic, or related Islamic sciences.

  • Aalimiyyah, Islamic studies degree, graduate degree, or comparable advanced qualification.

  • Previous experience teaching Islamic studies at an advanced or postsecondary level.
  • Proficiency in Arabic and experience reading classical Islamic texts.
  • Experience developing curriculum, assessments, or academic course materials.

Volunteer Opportunities

Community and Events Volunteer

Support MID programs, educational events, conferences, community outreach efforts, and other organizational initiatives.

  • Ability to speak additional languages commonly used within the community.
