Islamic Theology Aalimiyyah Program

ISLAMIC THEOLOGY

A comprehensive Aalimiyyah pathway designed to develop students from Arabic proficiency through advanced Islamic scholarship and the study of Prophetic traditions.

About the Program

The Islamic Theology program represents Maryland Institute of Development's complete 8 Level Aalimiyyah pathway, guiding students through progressive stages of Arabic language mastery, classical Islamic sciences, and advanced study of the Prophetic traditions. Rooted in the esteemed Dars-e-Nizami curriculum and designed to cultivate scholars of Islam ('Ulama), MID has adapted the program to meet the needs of contemporary students while preserving the depth and rigor of traditional Islamic scholarship. The schedule is specifically tailored to accommodate adults (both men and women), working professionals, college students, and teenagers, with classes held on weeknights and Sundays.

The full pathway is comprised of three academic programs: Arabic Mastery, Islamic Sciences, and Prophetic Traditions. Each stage builds upon the knowledge and skills developed in the previous stage and leads students toward progressively advanced levels of Islamic scholarship.

A diploma or completion certificate is awarded after each stage of the program, recognizing the student's academic progress throughout the Aalimiyyah pathway.
